Drexel University's Digital Media Department celebrated its 20th anniversary in 2018, and is home to a vibrant creative culture in diverse areas including digital animation, visual effects, motion capture, virtual reality, augmented reality, interactive design, and game design. The Game Design program has been consistantly ranked among the top 10 programs in the country by the Princeton Review, and the department is home to one of the first BS in VR & Immersive Media programs in the world.

In addition to coursework in our cutting edge labs and studios, Drexel students gain industry experience before graduation through participation in Drexel's co-op program as well as the Drexel in LA program which matches students with summer internships in Los Angeles while facilitating continued studies through courses presented by LA-based professionals.

Integrated into a world renowned research university, Drexel's Digital Media programs produce well rounded, industry experienced, creative professionals prepared to take on the newest technologies used by industry today, and in the future. While many of Drexel's alumni can be found in top Animation, Visual Effects, Game and VR Studios, still others leverage their skills and experience in other industries, including medical visualization, aerospace, and architectural visualization to name just a few.
