Industrial Design 101
Limited Capacity filling up

Ever wondered how an iPhone reaches the store shelves from an initial napkin sketch? Are you constantly amazed at how all of the parts of your dream car work so well together in three dimensions? Behind each of these creations lies the field of Industrial Design, the crossroads of form (shape), human factors (ergonomics) and an understanding of engineering/manufacturing. You will be introduced to Industrial Design, including but not limited to designing for products and transportation. Instructor will demo a project through the design process, including research and exploration, intermediate sketches, and final finished rendering.

Taking the Mystery out of Auditioning
Limited Capacity full
Adding this to your schedule will put you on the waitlist.

Audition Technique -Clearly identifying the differences between auditioning for theatre and film/TV/commercials. The students will read and we will conduct "mock auditions." We will give redirects until the students have nailed it! After my workshop-Taking the Mystery out of Auditioning-the student will have a clearer idea on all of the different types of auditions and a achieve a confidence that will propel them into their next audition. Also, learning the many differences between theatre and film acting for auditions. Since Studio School offers Acting for Film and TV, we are "taking the mystery" out of Film and TV auditions. We will begin speaking of the differences between Acting on stage to acting on film and television. We will then conduct "mock auditions" in which we will play scenes as if they were auditioning for a casting director. The audition begins when the first walk in. They will learn etiquette as well as technique. Intended audience should be those with both an interest in theatre AND Film & TV. This workshop is crafted for those who have interest in film acting but have only been exposed to stage acting in high school. Many students don't know where to begin if they have been inspired by screen acting and are unsure where to go from here. We encourage bringing the skills they have from stage acting and learning a new skill set with acting for the camera, all while being in an audition setting. The goal is to create an atmosphere that is very close to the real thing of auditioning to prepare them for the professional world.
